I am a young person and this is my fist time voting in a presidential election. This book gave me background information about issues in our government. Now I better understand the articles I read in the paper about the election. This book was an easy read but it was still very informative. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to others.
I came to this book as an independent confused by many of the contradictory claims politicians make about the economy. I needed brief, clear, objective explanations of the issues. I got that in Economics for Voters. The authors know their stuff and speak with confidence. This book will be a first reference for me as I listen to the debates, especially now with Paul Ryan designated as the Republican running mate. I recommend this book to those who need a place to start. You will be astounded to see how quickly the authors unmask the false claims and distortions perpetrated by candidates.
Good way to learn about the real economics as opposed to the vapid, knee-jerk jingoistic stuff the politicians are putting out.
